Leading change means taking personal responsibility and creating space for others to see how their contributions will ensure the collective accomplishment of desired results of the change. You must lead by example before you can inspire others. This course provides you with a practical overview of different approaches to leading and managing organisational change.

You are responsible to lead an organisation through a change process with significant consequences for future operation and the roles of staff.
You may be providing funding or technical support
to an organisation undergoing change processes.
Or perhaps you are an external consultant, wondering how best you can play a supportive role.

Course Objectives:
During this course you will:

  • Learn to distinguish between different perspectives to and theories of change and the role of leadership with implications for the change process itself
  • Apply MDF’s Organisational Change Cycle approach on real life cases
  • Explore how to communicate effectively with staff during change processes in order to deal constructively with resistance through engagement
  • Become skilled to identify the basic elements of a change management plan with steps and indicators as your road map for regular monitoring and follow up
