Cursus: Human Resource Management in an International Context
Training period:
4 – 8 June 2012
12 – 16 November 2012
Performance is about people
People are the most valuable asset of your organisation. Tapping into that asset is a real challenge. This is especially true in international context, where people often need to perform within a multicultural environment. At the same time, a sharpened focus on result-based management is influencing the way organisations manage their human resources.
Participants:
You are a (HR) manager or project / programme coordinator responsible for HR within your organisation. Or you are a staff member of an HR department or an adviser involved in the development of, or advising on human resources for organisations working in an international setting.
Course Objectives:
This course offers you a unique opportunity to exchange your experiences and knowledge on HRM with colleagues from different countries and from a diverse range of organisations. The course will devote special attention to multicultural aspects influencing HRM, how performance management can be linked to staff and organisational development and how to improve your role as HR responsible within the organisation. Furthermore you will practice communication skills related to your HR role. You will also learn more about the importance of knowledge management for HRM and the linkage between HRM and gender. You will leave the course with a proposal to improve HRM within your organisation.
