A lobbyist in the development sector: confident and engaged
Do you have basic experience in Advocacy and Policy Influencing? Or have you previously joined the ‘Advocacy and Policy Influencing; how it works‘ course? Then this course will sharpen your skills. MDF offers this course as a personalised accompaniment towards your lobby activities.

Participants:
You have (some) experience in lobby & advocacy and now you would like to improve your skills as a lobbyist in the development sector. This course takes into account your previous experiences, your present challenges, and provides you with personal skills to become an even better lobbyist in the future.

Course Objectives:
This course will teach you how to improve your role and style as a lobbyist. You will practise the listening skills that experienced lobbyists use. You will practise with six scientifically evidenced approaches to influence in a lobby meeting. Memory aids will help you to easily keep in mind “what to do” in the different domains of Policy influencing. You will discuss what values and principles are important to your organisation and how they can protect you from corruption. By the end of this course you will feel more confident and better equipped for the road ahead. Your progress is evidenced by tests.
