Inspiration session Organisational Assessment

Seats2meet Utrecht, Moreelsepark 65, Utrecht

8 september 2011

Get inspired by a Southern voice from Cambodia
In 2011, PSO started the thematic learning programma (TLP) on organisational assessments (OA). In this TLP, a number of Dutch development organisations jointly learn and share their practices in order to gain better insight in the OA baseline studies and how to move from these assessments to endogenous capacity development trajectories with their Southern partners. This September, Jenny Pearson from Cambodia is visiting the TLP group. Jenny has been involved in comprehensive capacity development processes with VBNK and ICCO. VBNK is the leading capacity building institution in Cambodia, see PSO and the TLP group are inviting you to get inspired by the experiences Jenny would like to share with us and you!

Jenny Pearson:
‘When ICCO asked us to do an OA of their 18 Cambodian NGO partners, we knew that before we could start on the assessment process our first task was to broker the rules of engagement. It was only when we had surfaced the widely different assumptions of all involved, and negotiated a set of expectations that were realistic and met all needs, that we could start on designing an assessment tool.’

Is this for you?
End your ordinary Thursday afternoon with some international inspiration. Come to listen, talk to and get inspired by Jenny Pearson. We will close with drinks.
