ISS organiseert: TARGET 2020 – New experiments: How the next generation prepares for a take-over

The Dutch landscape of development cooperation is increasingly shaken and stirred by initiatives generated through family foundations, young adventurous individuals, and large multinationals. They promote branding of NGOs stimulate open-crowd/open-sourceplatforms and seek active engagement from the business community.

A message that is frequently voiced via various media channels is that the ‘old sector’ is out of touch and out of date, and that it urgently needs innovation. But to what extent are these new initiatives innovative, transformative or different? And how do they look forward to 2020?

During this event three innovative, new initiatives will be pitched via a ‘passionate plea’ (pecha-kucha style), after which a couple of ‘provocateurs’ will provide the audience with some inspiring, critical thoughts. Join our constructive dialogue about ’the next generation’ and their new experiments.

This debate is part of the ‘Target 2020’ debate series:
